Following last week's teaser, Ray LaMontagne has released, Supernova, the first single from his upcoming album. The song finds Ray transitioning from lonesome folk music to 70's AM pop, similar to Bob Segar or John Mellencamp.
Some of that should be directly attributed to Dan Auerbach (of The Black Keys), who produced the new album in Nashville, TN. Expect more energy, from pumping organs to loads of electric guitar, when the album drops on May 6th.
No info yet on tour dates or pre-orders. The single is available now on iTunes.
